RibbonUI Components

(1) Application Button
After pressing Application Button, the application menu will be displayed. Menu is a central location for basic commands e.g. Open, Save, Print or Settings and Exit. Here you can find a list of recent files, too.

(2) Quick Access Toolbar
Quick Access Toolbar can contain some basic commands for your work with application. It’s displayed all the time so it’s right place for the most used commands.

(3) Tab Page
Each tab on the Ribbon represents a context switch to a collection of features designed to help perform specific tasks within a application. For example, in Small Business Accounting, the tabs organize commands for activities such as Home, Company, Customers, Vendors, Employees, Banking, and Reports.

(4) Group Panel
Group Panels serve as optical distribution of commands in groups according to their character, e.g. View, Edit, Find. Group Panel also determines the layout of embedded controls. You have 3 options - vertical, horizontal and free.

(5) Controls
The application is controlled by controls. RibbonUi contains some controls that can be inserted in Ribbon. Those are Button, ButtonGroup, ComboBox, Divider, MenuButton, Gallery, GroupPanel, LayoutPanel and TextBox. You can also insert other, non included, controls.

(6) Status Bar
Status Bar is supposed to display text informing about application status or can have hint character.

(7) Application Container
An Application container is space containing the application itself.

(8) Status Bar
Commands Status bar commands are buttons for control other application behaviors. Here you can e.g. place commands for switching the view of the document.
